A Comprehensive Cohort (Pilot) Study in Type II Diabetes with High Risk of CAD in China (CCMR-301-CCDC)

 Study Design:

Non-interventional, prospective,  longitudinal, cohort study

Study Subjects:

Approximately 1,000 evaluable type II diabetic patients who complete 12 months follow- up will be recruited.  Patients will be stratified into 2 groups:

·        Group I-Type II diabetes with 3 or more cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors*

·        Group II-Type II diabetes with confirmed CVD or prior history of coronary artery diseases (CAD)

All Patients will be followed for 12 months.
*CVD risk factors include obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, microalbuminauria, smoking, and age older than 65 years
