Nationwide Assessment of
Cardiovascular Risk Factors:
Blood Pressure, Blood Lipid, and Blood Glucose,
in Chinese Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
CCMR - 302- 3B
STUDY

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease
resulted from chronic hyperglycemia. Type 2 DM is the most common type of DM and
is a progressive disease. It is resulted from decrease in early-phase insulin
secretion and insulin resistance progression. Most patients with type 2 DM are
associated with high risk of cardiovascular disease, and cardiovascular disease
is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality of diabetic patients.
Due to lack of large-scale, nationwide and
systematically conducted comprehensive surveys, registries, or cohort studies,
no specific data are available on the status of DM control, the outcomes for
prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and other microvascular complications
in China.
This cross-sectional, non-interventional, and
observational study, is thus designed to
better understand the current treatment outcomes of Type 2 diabetes and its cardiovascular
risk factors and complications in China in each of the representative regions,
the difference between each region, and influencing factors in achieving the
target control of cardiovascular risk factors, including blood pressure, lipid
levels, and glucose levels, ,i.e. 3B.
